UL 3271
UL 3271 hook-up wire combines a copper conductor with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for equipment leads and internal control wiring. The base AWM style is identified for 600V and 125°C service, with additional product markings evaluated separately. The cross-linked insulation system provides a thermoset construction for the specified operating conditions. Gauge, stranding and color options allow equipment builders to match the wire to their circuit and termination requirements. This family serves OEM production, harness assembly and maintenance work where the specified appliance wiring construction is required.
