UL 3231
UL 3231 hook-up wire combines a copper conductor with silicone insulation and a fiberglass covering for appliance leads, heaters and equipment connections. The base AWM style is identified for 600V and 200°C service, with additional product markings evaluated separately. The silicone and fiberglass construction provides a lead-wire option for elevated-temperature equipment. Gauge, stranding and color options allow equipment builders to match the wire to their circuit and termination requirements. This family serves OEM production, harness assembly and maintenance work where the specified appliance wiring construction is required.
