Aluminum Interlocked Armored (AIA)

Aluminum interlocked armored cable combines insulated copper circuit conductors with an interlocking aluminum armor for building and equipment wiring. The armor provides a metal covering around the cable assembly for projects specifying an armored wiring method. The 600V configurations accommodate different circuit conductor counts and sizes for commercial and industrial power distribution. Conductor insulation, grounding arrangement and cable markings establish the permitted operating conditions and installation method, allowing the selected assembly to be matched to the project cable schedule.
