Product Overview
Type MC (Metal Clad) cable features soft-drawn copper Type THHN/THWN conductors rated for 90°C dry, available in sizes 14 AWG through 2 AWG, with a green insulated grounding conductor for enhanced safety. The conductors are cabled together with a printed binder tape and protected by a durable aluminum interlocking armor, providing superior mechanical protection and flexibility. Designed for branch, feeder, and service power distribution, this cable is ideal for commercial, industrial, institutional, and multiresidential buildings. Suitable for concealed or exposed installations, fished or embedded in plaster, environmental air-handling spaces (NEC 300.22(C)), places of assembly (NEC 518.4), theaters (NEC 520.5), cable trays, approved raceways, and under raised floors for IT equipment (NEC 645.5(D)). Type MC cable is also approved for use in Class I Div. 2, Class II Div. 2, and Class III Div. 1 hazardous locations, ensuring reliable power delivery, flexibility, and code compliance in demanding environments.
