Unarmored MV Cable
Type P unarmored medium-voltage cable combines flexible tinned copper conductors with a medium-voltage insulation and shielding system for marine and offshore power distribution. The family includes distinct 5kV, 8kV and 15kV constructions for compatible equipment feeds and distribution circuits. Its unarmored configuration supports installations where cable armor is not required by the project design. Insulation level, shield construction, jacket material and cable dimensions determine the appropriate terminations and splices. The selected cable must match the electrical schedule, vessel or facility requirements and the approvals specified for the operating environment.
