Unarmored VFD Cable
Product Overview
Type P shielded VFD marine and offshore cable is engineered for optimal performance with variable frequency AC motor drives in demanding marine and offshore environments. Featuring flexible stranded tinned annealed copper conductors, cross-linked flame retardant polyolefin (XLPO) insulation, and a thermosetting Neoprene (Type N) jacket, this cable delivers superior resistance to oil, abrasion, moisture, petrochemicals, sunlight, and ester-based muds (Type P-MR). The overall tinned copper wire braid shield with AL/PS tape provides robust EMI mitigation, protecting both the motor/drive system and adjacent equipment from high-frequency harmonics and electromagnetic interference. Rated for continuous operation at 125°C, this cable supports higher ampacity levels and meets cold bend (-40°C) and cold impact (-35°C) requirements. Available in armored and unarmored versions, it is suitable for Class I, Division 1 offshore applications and complies with UL 1277 Type TC-ER extended run requirements. Approved to ABS, ETL, UL, IEEE 45, IEEE 1580, and CSA standards, this cable is the trusted solution for reliable VFD power delivery and EMI protection in marine and offshore installations.
