Copper XLPE Tap Wire 5kV - Stranded

Copper XLPE tap wire connects primary phase conductors to equipment bushings in overhead distribution systems. A stranded copper conductor is covered with 115-mil cross-linked polyethylene for the documented 5 kV tap-wire application. The black construction is sunlight resistant and is available in AWG sizes suited to utility connections. Its single-conductor design supports connections associated with tree-wire, spacer-cable and other specified overhead systems. Conductor arrangement, equipment clearances and the applicable utility design determine the correct tap wire and termination for the installation. This selection uses stranded conductors.
